EchoSystem

  • Monash University Lectures Online is implementing EchoSystem, a new online lecture service incorporating both visual and audio content of lectures at Monash University.
  • A pilot is being carried out in Semester 2, 2009 involving a small number of units at Clayton campus.
  • Lecture material is captured in the lecture theatre for online playback after each lecture.
  • Academic staff can edit their recordings after the material has been processed.
  • Media content is streamed online to students via the EchoSystem Rich Media player and will also be available via direct download, vodcast and podcast when the system is fully implemented.

Access to Echo recordings

Recordings are available only for units involved in current pilot.

  • Go to EchoSystem recordings link displayed on your Monash University Lectures Online unit webpage.
  • This opens a page listing all echo captures to date.
  • If your Monash University Lectures Online unit page does not display any EchoSystem links, your unit is not included in this current pilot.
